During our anatomy scan, we were informed that I have an anterior placenta. For those not familiar, this means that my placenta is on the front of my uterus instead of on the back wall (which is the usual spot). There are no real negatives or risks to this, but the doctor did say that it may take a few extra weeks before I could feel any movement in there.
Well, this past Friday night at 21 weeks 6 days, I felt baby girl kick me! I had been paying extra close attention over the past week or so because I knew it would happen any day now. A couple times I thought I felt something, but Friday night I was 100% positive it was a kick. She started kicking me again yesterday afternoon and Keith was actually able to put his hand on my belly and feel her too. It was such an amazing thing for us to experience together :)
I am now able to feel her multiple times a day and I'm LOVING it!!
