Well, morning sickness (aka all day sickness) has officially arrived. It started this weekend on Sunday and has come and gone through today (Monday). I haven't thrown up yet but have just had a constant nauseous feeling. It seems that eating something small every 2 hours or so is helping a little.
Food aversions have also started, but for now it just seems to be one (drink) aversion: coffee. Which is crazy because I ALWAYS have 1-2 cups of coffee in the morning every.single.day. But the last two days it has sounded so disgusting. Of course without the caffeine, I started to get the worst headache this afternoon. So I ran up to Starbucks and got a pumpkin spice frappuccino (which was delicious) and it made my stomach happy and my headache go away. So at least I have a back-up plan if the coffee aversion sticks around (although it may get a little expensive!) And on a positive note, the cut-back on caffeine is good for our little one :)
Fingers crossed that this morning sickness doesn't last too long... the only upside is that it is pretty manageable while working from home. I can't imagine feeling like this and being stuck in an office all day.
Also, just a sidenote that I am down about 5 lbs from where I started before seeing those two pink lines (127.5 lbs this morning). I know I can attribute some of this weight loss to the fact that I am (obviously) no longer drinking. Just wanted to document this so I can track my weight gain throughout my pregnancy!
